Since 2000 we are providing conscious hosting to South Africa and beyond. All sites run on 100% renewable energy backed by superb technical support.

Kalk Bay Interactive was founded in 2000 in one of Cape Town's most beautiful little coves called Kalk Bay in the interests of providing world class web hosting services with a social and ethical vision to use the Internet as a tool for global transformation. Our founders came from a strong technical background and years of global Internet experience allowing us to establish fast, secure and reliable services with world-class support.

We begun hosting sites for small-businesses, community projects, musicians and NGO's mostly from Cape Town and the surrounding areas.

A strong emphasis was put on sponsoring and aiding causes - for many years they ran the Kalk Bay Guide which was an online community forum for one of South Africa's most historic and dynamic communities. The Harbor Music Club which was born in Kalk Bay and become one of South Africa's finest folk club's has long been sponsored and supported as well as projects such as The Marimba Connexion Project - a musical outreach project building healing community bridges with African instruments. More recently they have sponsored the South African Music Quote Commission site which as you might gather is promoting legislation to ensure the proper position of our home grown music on local radio stations. Many of South Africa's finest musicians chose to host with Kalk Bay Interactive - none other than Robin Auld, Syd Kitchen, Tony Cox, Madala Kunene and Marc Maingard.

Kalk Bay Interactive has expanded their client base - stretching to all corners of the country and world and we're proud to be associated with many exciting web sites. They have also expanded their scope of work, spreading out into web development, eCommerce development and IT consulting. Vedic Books which was featured in the latest Odyssey magazine was designed in-house at Kalk Bay Interactive. It's become on of South Africa's most amazing online book stores and continues to develop. One of the world's leading airlines has chosen Kalk Bay Interactive to host part of their loyalty program guide on their servers. Kalk Bay Interactive continue to expand and grow and help their clients to use the Internet for the greater good of all.
